The unthinkable
six months ago, is now a reality that will go down in history.
This year Eid-ul-Fitr
prayers in the UK, due to the Covid -19 pandemic, were read by Muslim
families in their own homes.
I asked my grandfather his thoughts about celebrating Eid at home,
to which he replied: “We have the Khalifah with us! We have accepted the Imam of this time, Hazarat Mirza Ghulam
Ahmed Qadiani (as). We must now
pray to Allah with even more devotion, that may Allah have mercy on his
creation and save us from this pandemic.”
One initiative by Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, targeted at the homeless and key workers, aimed to provide them with 10,000 Eid packages containing essential items, hot food and more.

Speaking with West
Midlands Regional Khuddam and Atfal Qaid, Dr Atta Khan sahib, I put the
question of Eid at home to him, his response was, “We follow our beloved Huzur’s
guidance, which is to respect the laws of the country you live in, so as per
current government advice, we should celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr at home.”
